Your information is being collected for the following purpose

You have made an application to the Energy Efficient Scotland Area Based Scheme (ABS), a programme funded by the Scottish Government and administered by �۲�ӰԺ Council which offers grants to help eligible privately owned and privately rented households to act through the process of making their properties more energy efficient.

The information we collect from you will include:

• name
• address
• contact details
• household income
• age details of members of your household
• if anyone in the household suffers from certain stated health conditions
• certain details of your property

We need to know this personal data in order to provide you with the correct amount of ABS grant, correct advice and correct recommendations in regard to the Scheme.

To meet criteria for possible additional ABS grant funding (extreme fuel poor”) we may ask for proof of any benefits you receive. This information will not be passed to any of our agencies or organisations.

If you do not provide your information we will be unable to provide support or advice.

We will not collect any personal data from you that isn’t needed for delivery of those services.

The lawful basis for collecting your information is: Consent: the individual has given clear consent for �۲�ӰԺ Council to process their personal data for a specific purpose.

What we will do with your information

In order to provide this service to you, we will only share your information with the agencies or categories of organisations listed below for the purposes specified.

1. Home Energy Scotland for the provision of energy efficiency advice and assistance including, when applicable, financial assistance
2. Procured Insulation Contractor (currently BCA Insulation – updated information will be issued at contract renewal) for the provision of the installation of energy efficiency measures
3. Procured Clerk of Works (currently MacDonald and Cameron – updated information will be issued at contract renewal) for the provision of independent clerk of works services

When you do not provide information directly to us, we may receive it from any of the above partner organisations.

All of the information we collect from you will be processed by staff in the United Kingdom. You should also be aware that your data will be stored on servers located in the United Kingdom, the data will not be processed outside the European Union. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is kept securely and more information on how we do this can be requested from the Data Protection Officer.

How long will we keep your information

We will keep you information for 5 years.

Automated Decision Making

There are no Automated Decision Making systems used for any of the purposes identified above.

Your Rights

When you provide information to the Council, you will have the following rights:

• to withdraw consent at any time, where the lawful basis specified above is Consent
• to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office – see below for details
• to request access to your personal data – please contact the Data Protection Officer if you wish to submit a request.
• to data portability, where the Legal basis specified above is
  • consent or
  • performance of a contract
• to request rectification or erasure of your personal data, as far as the legislation permits – please contact the Data Protection Officer and provide details of what data you wish to be rectified or erased.
